Academic Clinical Medicine

Academic Clinical Medicine

The Academic Clinical Medicine Pathway is devoted to fellows who pursue careers in a clinical subspecialty. Fellows who pursue the Academic Clinical Medicine Pathway are able to take advantage of the broad range of clinical expertise at MGH and BIDMC, as well as mentorship across the Harvard community. Opportunities for subspecialty training include interstitial lung disease, pulmonary vascular disease, lung transplant medicine, cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis, and interventional pulmonology.

Additional clinical training in this pathway is paired with scholarly work that may include developing new clinical guidelines, quality and safety projects, clinical innovations, and clinical research.  Fellows participate in the same guided process to identify projects and mentors as in other pathways.
