Pulmonary Vascular Disease
With large clinical practices at both Beth Israel Deaconess and Massachusetts General Hospital, there is significant exposure to pulmonary vascular medicine throughout fellowship. Additionally, Massachusetts General Hospital has one of the largest Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) programs on the east coast, and the pulmonary vascular team works closely with the interventional cardiology and thoracic surgery departments to evaluate these patients and offer them cutting edge interventional therapy.
For fellows wishing to pursue a career in pulmonary vascular medicine, additional mentored clinical training in outpatient clinic, the inpatient consult service and in the cath lab is available.
