Pulmonary Consultation

Our fellows spend 6 months on the pulmonary consult services at MGH and BIDMC. During these rotations, fellows are exposed to the full breadth of pulmonary cases, interact with both general and subspecialty faculty and care for patients with the most complex pulmonary disease. Fellows also gain procedural expertise during this rotation through involvement in all procedures on consult patients (including bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and right heart catheterization)

Our fellows receive dedicated fellow-level teaching from the consult attending physician and subspecialty physicians. Fellows also have the opportunity to review cases with and learn from experts in pulmonary pathology and radiology. In addition, fellows learn to teach core pulmonary content by leading teams that include medical students and residents.
