Krishna Reddy, MD

Areas of Expertise: Investigation

Academic Interests

Dr. Reddy’s research interests include tobacco, HIV, tuberculosis, and other respiratory diseases, both individually and in combination. The unifying themes in his research are methods of simulation modeling, epidemiology, and cost-effectiveness analysis to study clinical and economic outcomes in the US and in other countries. The goal of his research program is to provide evidence- and model-based approaches to clinical decision-making and public health policy. Dr. Reddy is a faculty investigator in the Medical Practice Evaluation Center (https://mpec.massgeneral.org/) and the Tobacco Research and Treatment Center (https://www.massgeneral.org/medicine/trtc), both within the Mongan Institute at MGH.

Awards and Recognition

Dr. Reddy is the principal investigator for two R01 awards from the National Institutes of Health and an Innovation Award from the American Lung Association. Dr. Reddy’s work has been reported by NBC News, Reuters, and WBUR/National Public Radio. He has been invited to present his work to the World Health Organization, the National Institutes of Health, and South Africa's Ministerial Advisory Committee on COVID-19.
