Interventional Pulmonology
Both BIDMC and MGH have large Interventional Pulmonary (IP) programs and perform a high volume of airway and pleural procedures. Together, they are home to the largest IP training program in the country. Fellows spend one month rotating with the IP service at BIDMC in their first year of training, which compliments a longitudinal, integrated experience with MGH IP during Pulmonary Consults and ICU rotations at MGH. Additional opportunities are available for advanced training during subsequent years of training, including certification in endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). For fellows interested in pursuing interventional pulmonary, they may apply to the Harvard Combined BIDMC-MGH IP Fellowship.
