Critical Care Ultrasound
Fellowship training includes an integrated longitudinal ultrasound curriculum to ensure all fellows attain proficiency in basic critical care ultrasonography and echocardiography. All fellows attend a regional 2-day course on ultrasonography in the beginning of first year, which is further built upon during MGH clinical rotations with hands-on training, clip review sessions, and dedicated ultrasound/echo lectures. All fellows will maintain a logbook of complete ultrasonographic exams for review and feedback. Additionally, a pathway will be available for fellows interested in pursuing advanced critical care echocardiography training for NBE board certification.
