Academic Interests
Dr. Petri's primary research interest is in enhancing teamwork and collaboration in the intensive care unit, using education as a vehicle. Her primary research focus has been investigating the impact that multiprofessional team members have on trainee education in the intensive care unit. Other academic interests include procedural teaching, simulation and bedside echocardiography. She is also appointed faculty in the Carl J. Shapiro Institute for Education and Research where she has the opportunity to develop and execute sophisticated educational scholarship with educational leaders at HMS and BIDMC.
